STARS Lottery Alberta launches with 2,575 prizes

January 16, 2020

Alberta – January 16, 2020 – When you hear the sound of a STARS helicopter, you know it is involved in a life-saving mission. When you buy your STARS lottery ticket, you’re helping fund our life-saving operations, tools and training needed to save lives.

The 27th edition of the STARS lottery launched today offering 2,575 prizes, valued at over $4.9 million.

“The community support that fuels this organization is just as important today as it was the day STARS was founded in 1985. When someone’s life is in jeopardy, it’s your support that trains our teams, puts the most advanced tools in our crew’s hands, and gets the helicopter in the air,” said STARS president and CEO, Andrea Robertson.

“Albertans are our allies in the fight for life and we simply cannot do our work without you. Your support of the STARS lottery helps us be there for the next patient that needs us.”

There are three grand prize show homes, a $1 million dollar dream early bird prize, two high-end vehicles or their cash value and five terrific vacation packages. The three homes are located in Edmonton, Calgary and Lethbridge and are worth a total of more than $2.9 million. Each ticket purchased is eligible to win any or all of the homes. LUCKY STARS 50/50 is back again and last year’s payout was $2 million.

The early bird prize this year is our largest ever- $ 1 million.  Enter the chance to live your million dollar dream by buying tickets before the February 27 early bird prize cutoff date.

Buyers are eligible for all prize draws if tickets are purchased prior to the applicable deadlines.
