STARS VIGILANT Site Registration

Every day, the STARS VIGILANT emergency communications centre monitors thousands of remote sites, improving emergency preparedness for organizations across Western Canada. In the event of an emergency at a remote site, one call connects you to a STARS VIGILANT emergency communications specialist who immediately begins to coordinate a medical response.

Our sophisticated mapping system provides accurate situational awareness, allowing our team of communications specialists to determine the highest level of medical care available near your location.

During a medical or trauma incident, an on-call STARS transport physician will determine the best mode of transport for the patient and will coordinate with the receiving hospital’s doctors.

Types of Sites Registered

STARS VIGILANT offers site registration for a variety of industries, including oil and gas, mining, construction and agriculture. We also encourage registration of recreational facilities such as rodeo grounds, race tracks and campgrounds.

How to Register Your Site

Registering with STARS VIGILANT is easy and can be completed in a matter of minutes.

  • You can register by calling the STARS VIGILANT emergency communications centre at 1-888-888-4567 to register 24 hours a day, seven days a week;
  • You can register by completing the site registration form online;
  • You will receive a confirmation email along with your registered site within 24 hours. Please note that the form must be filled out entirely in order to register your site.

Site Registration Options

Temporary site

Permanent site

Large projects

Important Note:

The STARS Emergency Link Centre is not a replacement for 911 services or onsite medical services. Registering your site with the STARS Emergency Link Centre complies with Occupational Health & Safety Guidelines. However, it does not replace the OH&S requirement for a transportation plan. It also does not guarantee that STARS, or any other aircraft, will fly to your location. This decision is based on location, the severity of injuries, weather and aircraft availability.
