One more week to buy STARS LOTTERY tickets in Alberta

CALGARY, Mar. 14, 2024 – STARS’ largest annual fundraiser is coming to a close as the 31st annual STARS LOTTERY enters its final week of ticket sales in Alberta.

The lottery plays an essential role in the organization’s annual fundraising efforts, typically raising enough money to fund one of STARS’ three bases in Alberta for a full year.

“When fighting for the lives of our patients, every second counts — so does every dollar,” says Katherine Emberly, president and chief executive officer for STARS. “The funds raised through the lottery go directly to our 24/7 daily operations so we can continue to deliver critical care wherever it’s needed. With over 2,100 prizes valued at over $4.8 million there are more ways to win than ever before — all of which support STARS in their mission to provide critical care, anywhere.

Ticket holders have the chance to win one of three stunning grand prize homes located in Calgary, Edmonton or Lethbridge, in addition to dream vacations, luxury vehicles and much more. With Lucky STARS 50/50 tickets, supporters have the chance to walk away with half of a jackpot that’s now more than $4.2 million cash! And new this year, STARS is offering more ways to win with Million STARS Daily Cash, with 40 prizes of $25,000 each — totalling $1 million in cash.
