Mike Marsh retired from SaskPower at the end of 2021 after 30 years of service, including the last seven years as President & CEO. He joined SaskPower in 1991 and spent his first 10 years in engineering, maintenance, and other leadership positions for the Power Production Business Unit. He moved into a senior corporate planning role in 2001, eventually becoming a member of SaskPower Executive team in March 2007 as Vice-President of Transmission and Distribution. In November 2012, he became Vice-President of Operations and Chief Operations Officer responsible for all operational areas, and in October 2014 assumed the position of President & CEO.  Prior to joining SaskPower, Mr. Marsh worked in the mechanical construction industry for 12 1/2 years in both Alberta and Saskatchewan.

Mr. Marsh earned a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Saskatchewan and a Master of Business Administration from the Queen’s School of Business.  He received the 2016 Electricity Industry Leader of the Year Award from Electricity Human Resources Canada, and, in January 2018, he was named the University of Saskatchewan College of Engineering’s 42nd C.J. Mackenzie Gala of Engineering Excellence Distinguished Lecturer.

Mr. Marsh is currently a registered Member of the Association of Professional Engineers and Geoscientists of Saskatchewan (APEGS), a Member of the Dean’s Advisory Council, University of Saskatchewan College of Engineering and the recent Past Chair of the Board of Directors, Canadian Electricity Association (CEA). He is also a Past Member of the Board of Directors of the Canadian Nuclear Association and a Past President and member of the Regina Centre Chapter, Canadian Progress Club, a service organization that raises funds for children who have cancer and other needs in the community.
