Jeri-Lynn Johnston
Vice President, Foundation
As Vice President of the STARS Foundation, Jeri-Lynn provides strategic leadership and oversight for all aspects of the Foundation’s multi-provincial fundraising strategy, including revenue diversification, operational excellence, and remarkable donor experience. She is an authentic and caring leader that fosters strong collaborative teams, with a focus on creating long-lasting relationships with a community of donors and key partners in achieving results. She has dedicated the last seven years of her career at STARS in many capacities, helping to advance fundraising initiatives and playing a key role in STARS recent capital campaign to replace the fleet of helicopters. Jeri-Lynn has a tremendous amount of pride and gratitude for generosity of donors and communities of STARS and is focused on fundraising as a top priority, ensuring that everyone has access to lifesaving care across Western Canada.
Prior to join STARS, Jeri-Lynn attained her Hotel & Resort Management diploma and had a successful twenty-year career in the corporate hospitality sector, working at many world-wide hotel and resort brands and independent properties in a variety of leadership roles, the most recent as a senior leader for a Canadian based hotel management company as the Corporate Director of Sales & Marketing. Her passion for philanthropy naturally evolved from corporate to community focus upon completion of the Leadership Saskatoon program through the University of Saskatchewan, where she had an opportunity to engage with multiple community groups, making a difference through leadership volunteering, and meaningful impact with community investment.
Born and raised on a farm in rural Saskatchewan, Jeri-Lynn calls Saskatoon home, and in her free time you will find her enjoying valuable time her family at their cottage in the north, entertaining friends and family, trail riding, fishing, golfing, and taking in all that the outdoors have to offer.
