Jason Arthur

Vice President, Aviation

Jason Arthur began his aviation career in 2004 with the Royal Canadian Air Force (RCAF), where he trained to operate Chinook and Griffon helicopters. Over the course of more than a decade of military service, he flew a wide range of missions, including combat operations in Afghanistan, where he was responsible for the safe transport of personnel and equipment.

In 2015, Jason transitioned to the civilian aviation sector, joining Cougar Helicopters as a pilot. In this role, he operated Sikorsky S92 helicopters in support of offshore oil and gas exploration, developing extensive experience flying in remote and challenging environments.

In 2017, he accepted a position with AirSprint Private Aviation, flying the Cessna Citation CJ3+ and CJ2+. During his time with AirSprint, Jason became known for his precision, attention to detail, and commitment to exceptional customer service.

Jason joined STARS Air Ambulance in 2019 as Aviation Project Manager and was promoted in 2022 to Director of Flight Operations. After three years in this position, he was appointed Vice President, Aviation, where his leadership continues to play a vital role in ensuring STARS delivers critical medical transport services across western Canada.

Throughout his career, Jason has consistently demonstrated a deep commitment to safety, excellence, and leadership in aviation. Whether flying military helicopters, private jets, or air ambulances, he brings professionalism and dedication to every role, earning the respect of colleagues and peers across the industry.

When Jason is away from work he enjoys spending time with his family and getting out cycling in the mountains.
