STARS welcomes 10-year funding agreement with Alberta Government

Alberta Premier Danielle Smith talks with STARS pilot Karla Armstrong and STARS President and CEO Katherine Emberly

Today, STARS welcomed Premier Danielle Smith, Parliamentary Secretary for Rural Health Martin Long, and representatives from Alberta Health Services, to the STARS Calgary base to announce a new 10-year funding agreement with the Alberta government.

“We are deeply grateful for the continued support from the Government of Alberta, enabling us to provide life-saving care wherever it’s needed across the province, for many years to come. Our roots run deep in Alberta, and for nearly 40 years, we’ve relied on the unwavering support from our government partners and the communities we serve to grow, evolve and deliver on our mission, every day,” said STARS President & CEO Katherine Emberly.

This funding provides stability for our operations and will enable STARS to continue to provide critical care, anywhere to those who need it all across the province, for years to come.

We look forward to continuing to work with our partners at the Province of Alberta and Alberta Health Services and are incredibly grateful for the support.
