Air Medical Crew

Delivering Critical Care, Anywhere

At STARS, our Air Medical Crew (AMC) members are more than flight nurses and paramedics—they are critical care providers trained to deliver life-saving care in the most challenging environments. Whether responding to a remote trauma scene, stabilizing a critically ill patient, or providing life-saving interventions mid-flight, our teams are all trained to work in emergency/ICU/CCU and out-of-hospital environments.

Expert training. Advanced technology. Unwavering commitment.

At STARS, our flight nurses and paramedics deliver cutting-edge transport medicine in high-stakes environments. With rigorous, ongoing training and leading-edge equipment, they are ready for any scenario.

Our team provides:

  • Airway management and ventilator support.
  • Advanced cardiac life support (ACLS).
  • Blood administration and point-of-care lab testing (including ultrasound).
  • Critical trauma and multi-system injury care.
  • Pediatric, obstetric, and neurological emergency management.

Collaboration in Action

Life-saving care doesn’t happen alone. Every mission is built on teamwork. Our AMC members work in lockstep with:

  • Pilots – Ensuring safe, rapid transport to and from the scene.
  • Emergency Communications Team – Providing real-time mission coordination.
  • Hospital and EMS Partners – Seamless patient handoffs for continuity of care.
  • Ground First Responders – Working with fire, EMS, first responder partners, and law enforcement teams at the scene.

STARS Wins Big: 2024 Association of Air Medical Services Sim Cup

The AAMS event is a high-stakes, realistic scenario designed to test flight medical crews’ abilities. Teams must act quickly under pressure, showcasing advanced critical care knowledge, communication skills, and the ability to work seamlessly in tandem.

It’s an honour to represent STARS on a stage like the Air Medical Transport Conference. It’s a testament to the education and training they provide to us that allows us to give us high quality care to our patients.”
